They battle relentless Sentinels and humans twisted into living manifestations of fractured minds, confronting not only external threats but the haunting specters of their own amplified psyches. As they shatter the machines' control, the city transforms into a living labyrinth of distorted realities, where the boundaries of self and memory dissolve. Humanity now faces a future where the past isn't merely recalled, but tangibly relived—a terrifying and wondrous new paradigm.
It is the future, and our main character is not expecting the machines to come by for a Security Check on his apartment he lives in with his mother, who hates them. This is a brief snippet of life from a future that may or may not come to pass.
