This is my challenge entry using a character I made

After the tragic death of his young bride, a grieving husband becomes tormented by mysterious symptoms, eerie sounds, and the unsettling sense that his wife’s presence lingers in their home. Inspired by the work of Edgar Allen Poe.

A princess, tormented by the prison of her own mind, seeks out Nestor, the magician of memories, begging him to mend what's broken so as to be whole again. For a fleeting moment, she tastes the sweetness of life she always dreamed of, until the dream curdles and she collapses into a nostalgia far crueler than the pain she tried to escape.

Constance knew their time together was limited. But goodbyes proved harder than she thought.

What if someone offers you a chance to spend time with the person you lost? The catch? You only have a short time to spend with them before they fade away again. In this story, a woman gets that wish, to spend time with the husband she lost a while back.
