'It was just a dream' , that's what I told myself as I watched all my dreams and hopes crumbling all around me once again.

Worst thing is I was expecting it , I've never been much of a dreamer exactly because of the fear of pain but this time I allowed myself to dream with all my heart.

And now here I am once again , in the same dark pit I swore to never visit again but it somehow is the only place where I can find some kind of fake peace , if you cannot dream , it is easier to live in nightmares.

Only difference is that nightmares actually do happen and most of the time while we aren't even asleep.

I guess you could say that nightmares are the real dreams , the happy dreams are just illusions meant to keep us sane , or who knows , because I don't.

Everything I thought I knew proved to be fake and all the dreams only made it worse.

Perhaps that's how it's meant to be , we have to bathe in nightmares until we are finally worthy to live our dreams or just succumb to the nightmares and be swallowed by darkness until we become nightmares ourselves.

But just in case someone reads this and begins to question their feelings , don't worry , it was all just a dream.
