Warning in the Message

She answered a phone call from her own number and what she heard sent chills down her spine. Patty listened in horror as she heard her dead Mother’s voice from the grave warning that she was in danger. In danger of what Patty asked as the phone went silent.

That was a strange call Patty thought. Her mother has been gone for nearly five years now. Who was calling her? Patty thought this has to be a prank call. What kind of danger . It was time to get ready and head to work although she would not shake this feeling.

Patty was a receptionist for a small law firm downtown. On the ride to work she was thinking about the message from her dead mother. What kind of danger is she in? The law firm she worked for didn’t handle any dangerous criminals as they rarely did criminal cases.

Putting it out of her mind for now, Patty gathered her things and went out to get in her car. As she was pulling out of the driveway she saw a woman across the street and as she looked closer she yelped as she recognized the woman as her dead mother. She started to walk towards her but she vanished.

Could she be in danger? If so, what kind of danger?

Patty arrived at work. She was always the first to arrive as one of her jobs was to open the office and get everything in order before the rest of the crew arrived. As she was exiting her car she observed the front door open to the office. After remembering her Mothers’ warning she backed out of the parking lot and drove across the street and parked.

Patty then dialed 911. A few minutes later the police pulled up in front of the law office and a man came running out the front door brandishing a gun. The police were able to capture him and discovered he had broke into the office in hopes of finding cash or anything he could steal and pawn.

Patty was shaking and gasping as she realized had she not listened to her dead mothers warning she may have been killed.
