A stranger sat across her from the table and claimed to be her soulmate. Maria was a bit confused. She came to that island bar ever since she was a kid and never had seen that man before in her life. However, she was not complaining.

The stranger was rather handsome. With beautiful blonde locks, resembling Apollo, similar to sun himself and gorgeous blue eyes one could swim in she could easily believe this man was her soulmate. That was, if she was shallow.

“I’m… sorry?” Maria said as she was blushing

“You heard me” the stranger spoke, in a deep, German accent

Maria took a moment to take a breath. This was becoming too much, even for her

“Look, mister, I do not know who you are or how you find me, but I have things to do. Sorry.” Maria picked her bag and was about to leave when…

“I’m sorry for barging in your life so suddenly. I just had to see you again. I’m Hans, from second grade? Transfer student?”

Suddenly all the confusion left the room. In front of her might not have been her soulmate, but it was definitely her first love.
