When I first started seeing Demetrius Wilson, I called my grandmother to share the news. She was thrilled for me, and when I mentioned that Demetrius picked me up in Portland, Indiana - a place that held memories for us - she repeated the words "Portland, Indiana" over and over. She also said she thought the day would never come when Michael was no longer part of the picture. And then she mentioned a movie she took me to see when I was around eleven, "Finding Nemo". She said I used to love watching it, but when she'd brought me to see it, I didn't remember it. She'd seemed surprised that I'd forgotten it, and even hinted that Demetrius might be connected to it somehow. I didn't think much of it then, but it was a sweet moment.

Demetrius and I had recently posted about our relationship on Facebook, and I'm eagerly awaiting his return to my life. But that's when Michael's presence started to creep back into my life. My grandfather started calling me out of the blue, asking about Demetrius and our relationship. And then there were the sudden messages and comments on social media, Michael's likes and comments on my old posts, and Demetrius's. It's like he's trying to insert himself back into my life, and I do not like the reason why.

As I scrolled through my Facebook feed, seeing Michael's name pop up in the comments section of our posts, I felt a shiver run down my spine. What does he even want from Demetrius? And why was he suddenly so interested in my life again? I tried to brush it off, but deep down, I knew it was envy.

I sat there, staring at my phone, trying to make sense of it all. Michael's actions seemed calculated, deliberate. He's causing all the drama, with restraining orders and cops involved in multiple places. His involvement has thrown roadblocks in our road to happiness, and he's not going to win. I don't care how long it takes, Demetrius is there for me as long as it is up to him. This is a quality Michael never possessed. I will never go back to that.

As I reflected on the past, I realized that Michael's behavior had been a pattern. He would often try to control my life, dictate what I wore, who I talked to, and what I did. But I had broken free from that toxic cycle, and Demetrius was the light at the end of the tunnel. He was kind, caring, and genuinely interested in my well-being.

I thought about the times Michael would be absent, cause himself not to be present, fail to attend, never appear. He would claim he was just busy, but deep down, I knew what he was doing. With Demetrius, it was different. He respected my boundaries and gave me space when I needed it. But he never disappeared when I needed him. not on his own terms.

Demetrius and I had discussed the situation, and he was aware of Michael's antics. He was supportive and understanding, and I appreciated his calm demeanor. Together, we were facing the challenges that Michael's behavior had brought upon us.

I was determined to move forward, to build a life with Demetrius that was free from Michael's toxicity. It wouldn't be easy, but I was ready to face whatever came our way.

As we walked toward breakfast through the Blue Bridge, Demetrius acted like we were being watched. I didn't see anybody, so I crossed to the food stamp office. It was then that the cops showed up again and took Demetrius away. Brandon, the witness, claimed that Demetrius had hit me. Who even was this guy? I went back to the Blue Bridge and got a trespass warning for an address across the street. When I asked the police department who lived at the address, I learned my unknown prosecutor's name. I heard it again in court and vowed to myself to take action against this individual. I suspect that my ex has something to do with this as he pays people to try to thwart my plans. Lu from Lu's Cafe in Colorado told me he paid her not to hire me, during an "interview" also, Demetrius's whole family turned against him when they were introduced to me and even exhibited like-Mike behaviors, such as phone hacking, beating around bushes, and belittling. His grandma eventually stopped letting him come over all together, with or without me.

The plea was entered. Not guilty. The findings were set out for another court date. He will be released this Monday (it's Friday) he was arrested on Wednesday. But there's still a restraining order on him against me. I am working with the victims advocate to try to get that removed. In the meanwhile, I have had several people at the library confirm that they had seen my ex around. I also seen him floating around myself, working for Pro Resources Staffing. He has a history of working with staffing companies from Colorado, M.T.S. (Mountain Temp Service).

The library can only release footage to the police, who work under Michael. Demetrius wasn't actually able to speak to me during the hearing. But I felt those words. Demetrius said, "We'll get through this together. We'll expose the truth and bring those responsible to justice."

Demetrius was set with determination. "We're in this together, Sarah. Always."

I spent at least 8 years fighting the system for my ex's kids, and the system was rigged against me. I know this because I stacked evidence in a two-inch folder in front of my lawyer, and he pushed it back across the table towards me, saying he wouldn't be needing it. He didn't even look at it. I told my lawyer that if he didn't like what I wanted to bring up to the judge, to bring up something. But when the judge asked, he said, "I have nothing, your honor." This made me very angry.

My brother Keith has been messaging me about my ex, and my grandpa hasn't said anything besides that he expected this (pregnancy) because he knows who the culprit is. During a trip to Colorado last year, I suffered a miscarriage as Demetrius was arrested for being around me, and the officer shoved me. I couldn't do anything about it because of the dynamics at play. So we left Colorado with no intentions of returning.

As I look to the future, I'm excited to start this new chapter with Demetrius. We're planning to get married on July 3rd, and we're both looking forward to building a life together. We plan on having a daughter together, and I'm thrilled to start this new journey as a family. Demetrius has been talking about taking me to Las Vegas, Nevada, for our honeymoon, and I'm excited to see where life takes us. Demetrius also wants to visit Tennessee to see Zak Bagans, and with his income, I know we'll be able to plan many more trips in the future, maybe even to somewhere warm like Hawaii.
