Lilith didn't expect to get a secret Santa gift this year nor did she know if anyone noticed her at the annual cocktail party she was at last night of her Boss Kane. But there was one person that stood out there, his name was James.

He was distant...short black hair, strong jaw line, dressed in a black suit white button up shirt standing in the distance by the curtains looking out at the cities most adored lights around this time of year.

Myself just in a soft dark emerald green dress with a sparkle black petticoat that matched my heels just stared at him. They were drawing names at the party last night, it was either a hit or miss a blank or a name. As I sit and thought as I grabbed mine out of the top hat, unfolding it....I drew a blank. Darn. Better luck next time. As I looked up, I saw James looking through the crowd, then his eyes fixed on me. Shocked I quickly turned towards the refreshment table my mind wondering what name he received from that hat.

As I got to the parking garage and fumbled my keys to my little red car to drive the hour away from the city to the apartments that I took the usual I pondered what name James pulled out of the hat. I stepped into the elevator and pressed floor 2, as i finally got to my door number 7 tiring from the nights events I reached for my keys in my purse. When I opened my door I almost stepped on a shiny small box with a red bow snuggly wrapped and placed on top of it. Someone must have dropped this gift in the mail slot on my door as I thought reading the name tag of a fancy cursive J. Should I open it?

My mind suddenly realized is this from James, how does he know we're I live?

As I untie the red bow and pull open the box there is a small key necklace in the box, is this a real key or is just a necklace? Either way the top of the key had red roses formed into it's gold plated surface, making it lovely. I look under the key and there was a white card with an address on it. As I analyzed the white card I thought to myself, maybe I am having a better night than that cocktail party.
