I’ve been a programmer, a motorcycle courier, a logger, a bouncer, an IT lecturer, property developer and server systems manager for a huge multinational. I’m attempting to transfer the knowledge and wisdom accumulated in such a diverse working life to writing science fiction and fantasy, which I have read for the last 40 odd years and penned for at least 20, but it’s proving harder than I imagined. In fact, writing is quite possibly the most difficult profession I have ever pursued.
