It was just a dream. Please let it be just a dream I said as I opened my eyes, nope still here in this horrible place. My life now.This place was a little shack on a dirt road in an area of town where apparently laws

don't exist. This is a backwoods hillbilly ghetto. This is because you don't want to take that road

type of town. The day we moved in, a woman's body was being scooped up off the alligator trail

down the street. She was staying at the house down the road from us. We knew it was not that

good of an area but what happened the next 2 years there was not what I would have thought

would happen. Hell, I didn't know things could happen like this and nothing was being done

about it. As I said, there are no laws on this street.

The decision to move here was not an easy one to make but our family needed to save

money and this was the only option for us. So we packed up our kids and what we could keep

and we moved to this little shack on a dirt road. Life was about to get crazy here for us we just

did not know yet. The first few weeks thereafter the body was found it was quiet and normal. As

we got adjusted to the area we quickly realized the dangers around us. I homeschool my kids so

being home all day I saw and heard so much. My husband left early in the morning for work

every day and the neighbors watched that. There were days I would go outside and find a man

in my yard. Not a nice man but a very drugged-out man. He would ask for things or look around

my yard. It worried me for my kids if they were to be outside and be approached. Men showing

up was the least of the issues there. As days went by I realized it was best if my kids did not go

outside while we stayed here. I would see so many drug deals go down and prostitutes

dropped off and picked back up from the landlord's property next to me. Not want my kids to see

they stayed inside all the time. We would hit the parks and things like that on the weekend to

make up for the time stuck inside.

One night sitting on my porch I heard a gunshot and crash. I ran inside, checked my

kids, and waited. Sure enough, I could hear the sirens. They were so close to me. Turns out

people were hiding on the street, one on each side of the road shooting at each other.

According to the report, a car happened to drive by at the same time and the lady was shot

twice. Neighbors were talked to but don't believe truths were told. The case was never officially

solved, no arrests were made. The only thing released in a statement was that it was two

different guns used in the shooting. Living there I put somethings together and it is very

suspicious that the next day two of the weird bad men in the area leave for a few days and then come back again. We will never know the truth.
