I was born in St. Albans, a cathedral town in leafy Hertfordshire went miles north of London, UK. I now live on the banks of the River Mersey, in Liverpool.

I suppose I am an adventurer, having been a soldier, sailor, businessman and world traveller in my time. I've always been interested in writing and started with peer try at age 8 - but, being shy (I suppose) I never ventured into publishing until 2014, and that's when I entered a writing competition in France's Limousine and I won it. Not being able to better that outcome, I have never risked not winning a competition since by declining to enter them. Do I hear shouts of, 'Coward?" I'll accept them as they come, says I with a huge grin.
